Privacy at a glance
Video Converter processes your videos and audio entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, sell or share your personal data or your media. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking in the App.
This Privacy Policy explains how Video Converter (the “App”) handles information. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer of the App. This policy applies to the App and to this website.
1. Data we collect
We do not collect any personal data through the App. The App has no sign-up or account system, and it does not send your information to us or to third parties. In Apple's App Privacy terms, the App's data practice is “Data Not Collected”.
| Type of data | Collected by us? |
|---|---|
| Videos, audio, photos and other media | No — processed only on your device |
| Name, email, phone number, address | No |
| Location | No |
| Usage data, analytics, crash data | No |
| Device or advertising identifiers | No |
| Payment information | No — handled by Apple |
2. On-device processing
All conversion, compression, trimming, merging, GIF creation, noise reduction and vocal separation happen locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any cloud service by the App. The App's tools work without an internet connection.
3. Access to Photos and Files
The App only accesses media that you choose:
- Choosing videos: when you pick a video, the App uses Apple's system photo picker or Files browser. The App only receives the specific items you select — not your whole library.
- Saving to Photos: if you tap Save (or turn on automatic saving), the App asks for permission to add items to your photo library.
- Replacing an original: if you choose “Replace Original in Photos”, the App asks for photo library access so it can save the compressed copy (keeping the original's date, location and favorite status) and ask you to confirm deleting the original. iOS always asks you to confirm before anything is deleted.
You can change these permissions at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and handles your Apple ID and billing information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. The App checks your subscription status using Apple's StoreKit on your device, solely to unlock Premium features.
5. Data stored on your device
To make the App work, the following is stored locally on your device only:
- Files you create, kept in the App's Library (also visible in the Files app under On My iPhone › Video Converter);
- a list of your converted files (name, size, date and settings used) so the Library can display them;
- your preferences (for example appearance, haptics and auto-save) and the number of free exports used.
Temporary working copies of files you import are deleted automatically. You can delete Library files at any time in the App, and deleting the App removes all of this data from your device. This data may be included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup) according to your own device settings, which are managed by Apple.
6. Contacting support
If you email us at appservice24@yahoo.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and help with your request, we do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not share it with anyone except as required by law. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.
7. Tracking and advertising
The App does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not show ads and does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
8. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts and fonts. It is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web host, Firebase processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See Firebase's privacy information for details.
9. Children's privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because we do not collect data, we do not knowingly hold any information about children.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because the App does not collect personal data, there is normally nothing for us to provide or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to access or delete that correspondence by contacting us at the address below. We do not sell or share personal information.
11. Security
Your files stay inside the App's private storage on your device, protected by iOS security and data protection. Keeping your device secure (for example with a passcode) helps protect your files.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If we ever change how the App handles data in a significant way, we will tell you in the App before the change takes effect.
