Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing or using Video Converter (the “App”), you agree to Apple's Standard EULA and to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer of Video Converter, and “you” refers to the person using the App.

2. License to use the App

Under the Standard EULA, you receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, rent, lease, sell or redistribute the App except as allowed by the Standard EULA or applicable law.

3. Free version

You can use every tool in the App for free. The free version includes 3 free exports (Batch Compress uses one per video). After those are used, a Premium subscription is required to export further. Files you have already exported remain yours and stay available in the App.

4. Premium subscriptions

Video Converter Premium removes the free-version limits and unlocks unlimited exports of any length. Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription:

Prices may vary by country and are shown in your local currency in the App before you buy. Taxes may apply.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase (or, for a free trial, when the trial ends).
• Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charge: your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Price changes: if the price of a subscription changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
• All purchases are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details.

5. Free trial

The Yearly plan may include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically to a paid yearly subscription and your Apple ID account is charged $19.99 (or the local equivalent). Each Apple ID is eligible for one introductory offer per subscription group. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

6. Managing and cancelling your subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
3. Select Video Converter and tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the App's Settings to restore Premium.

7. Refunds

Because purchases are processed by Apple, refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to issue refunds directly.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to the videos, audio and other files you use with the App (“Your Content”). The App processes Your Content only on your device; it is not uploaded to us. You are responsible for Your Content and for keeping your own backups. You confirm that you own Your Content or have the rights and permissions needed to copy, convert, edit and share it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, including by removing protections from content you are not authorised to modify;
• create, edit or share content that is illegal, harmful, exploitative or abusive;
• break any applicable law or regulation.

The App cannot process content protected by digital rights management (DRM), such as purchased or rented movies.

10. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics and name, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Apple, iPhone, iPad and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

11. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, as described in the Standard EULA. While we work hard to make the App reliable, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, that every file or format will be supported, or that results (such as file size, noise reduction or vocal separation quality) will meet your expectations. Results depend on your source files and device.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and as set out in the Standard EULA, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the App. Please keep backups of important files before converting, compressing or replacing them. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we may also notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
